TrashSorter Release


This is a simply little game, and my first completed published game software. 

The premises for this game originated in  Unity's Learning Pathway: Junior Programmer: Create with code 2. The milestone was 'Counting Prototype'.

Here are the criteria for the game:

  • The game counts something.
  • The game has a UI component that displays that count.

For this project, I decided to create a game where two different categories of disposables would spawn from the top of the screen, and fall towards the bottom of the screen. The player would need to identify which type of disposable it is, Recyclable or Trash, and move the container to catch the object into the appropriate bin.

The player can move the containers with "A/D" or the "Left/Right" arrow keys. Green or orange cans go in the green recycling bin, while apple cores and fish bones go in the blue trash bin. The player will lose if as many as 5 objects are placed in the incorrect containers, or missed entirely.
